Option 1: Direct Method through the Virtual USA Account
To transfer PayPal balance to Airtm via the Virtual USA account, follow these steps:
1. Log in to PayPal: Go to “Wallet”.
2. Link a new bank account: Click on “Link a card or bank account”.
3. Select “Link a U.S. bank account”: Enter the information for your U.S. Virtual account provided by Airtm.
- Account type: Checking
- Routing number*
- Account number*
*Find these details by logging into your Airtm account under "ACH account details".
4. Confirm your bank account: PayPal might send a couple of small transactions to your account for verification. If so, contact us at support@airtm.com.
5. Transfer the balance: Once verified, you can easily transfer your PayPal balance to Airtm.
Limits and Fees for the Virtual USA Account
If you encounter issues with verification, ensure that the account details provided by Airtm are entered correctly. If the problem persists, you can contact PayPal support or email us at support@airtm.com for additional assistance.
Option 2: P2P Method
Here you will find a series of steps and recommendations to successfully complete your deposit transaction to Airtm from PayPal.com.
A. Add funds to your Airtm account with PayPal, for amounts greater than $15 USDC
- Click on Add.
- Select the payment method PayPal (More than $15).
- Enter the amount, click on Continue and then on Send request.
For security, do not mention currency exchange or Airtm at any stage of the payment process in PayPal.
- Once the cashier takes the transaction, notify them via chat that the invoice has been sent.
Cashiers are verified users who will assist with your transaction.
Do not send money directly to the cashier's email; always wait for the invoice or transaction instructions. It's normal for it to take a few minutes to arrive.
- You will receive the PayPal invoice in your email to complete the payment. Click on "View and pay payment form".
You must be the owner of the PayPal account and pay only with PayPal balance (not with a debit or credit card).
- After completing the payment, go to the PayPal homepage, and you will see the invoice in the **Recent Activity** menu.
- Click and copy the transaction ID of the PayPal invoice.
- In Airtm, go to the Details tab, enter the transaction ID, and click on **Send Confirmation**.
- PayPal will email you notification of the payment you just made, including a detailed summary of the payment.
- Forward this message with payment details to your counterpart's email.
- Wait a few minutes, and that's it! You will see your funds successfully added to your account.
B. Add funds to your Airtm account with PayPal, for amounts less than $15 USDC
- 1. Click on "Add"
- 2. Select the payment method "PayPal ($15 or less)".
- 3. Enter the amount, click on "Continue" and then on "Send request".
For security, do not mention currency exchange or Airtm at any stage of the payment process in PayPal.
- Once the cashier takes the transaction, click on "I understand, show payment information". Now copy the cashier's email.

- In Airtm, go to the "Details" tab, enter the transaction ID, and click on "Send Confirmation". You can go to the chat and notify the cashier that it has been paid.
- PayPal will email you notification of the payment you just made, including a detailed summary of the payment.
- Forward this message with payment details to your counterpart's email.
- Wait a few minutes, and that's it! You will see your funds successfully added to your account.
