How to set up your Argentinian CVU or Alias

Before you start

• Your Airtm identity verification must be complete.
• Currently available in Argentina.

How to create your CVU/Alias

1. Open Airtm and tap Add funds.
2. Select Virtual Accounts, then go to the Argentina tab.
3. Tap Get Argentinian CVU.
4. Review the terms and conditions.
5. Accept the terms and your CVU and Alias will be created instantly.

Once created, tap Copy account info to share your details with whoever will be sending you funds.

How to find your CVU/Alias later

Go to Add funds > Virtual Accounts > Argentina at any time to view, copy, or share your details.

Updating your Alias

A default Alias is generated automatically when your CVU is created. You can change it:

• The first change can be made right away.
• After that, you must wait 24 hours between each change.
• Alias format: 3 to 20 characters, letters (A to Z, a to z), numbers (0 to 9), and one optional period (.) to separate parts of the name.

Frequently asked questions

Can I delete my CVU/Alias?
No. Once created, your CVU/Alias is permanent. You can update your Alias, but the CVU itself cannot be removed.

I see "CVU unavailable." What does that mean?
If your Airtm account status changes due to a compliance review, access to your CVU/Alias is temporarily suspended. Contact support and we'll help you from there.

I was expecting a deposit but it hasn't arrived.
Deposits are processed automatically once the sender completes the transfer. If funds don't appear within a reasonable time, contact support with the transaction details from the sender's side.

Can I use my CVU/Alias to send money, or only to receive?
Only to receive. Your CVU/Alias is an inbound payment address. To send money, use Airtm's standard withdrawal options.
